27 Dems and All Republicans Oppose Consumer Financial Protection Agency in House. We Should Take our Chances.

Rachel Maddow spotlights the opposition to creating the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, where Republican Sen. Robert Bennett vilified it by comparing it to the EPA, and you know how horrible they have been trying to protect our water and air. Harvard Law Professor and Tarp oversight chair Elizabeth Warren blasts congress for not having one single Republican and 27 blue dog Democratic votes, while putting the whole idea of consumer protection in perspective.

After all, conservatives know taxpayer money will never have to bail out devastated citizen retirement funds and investments, gambled away by our free market economy.
