Cable News Outlets Don't Have time for the Informative "Follow-up" Question.

My biggest Pet Peeve: No follow-up question.

Without a follow-up question on the major news networks, anything said by a guest is left to linger out there like the "truth," with no explanation or source. Hosts are expected to cover a range of topics, so typically, in-depth detail is sacrificed for a few sound bite answers. That's why viewers and radio listeners are so misinformed in this he said/she said talk format.

The Daily Show's Jon Stewart takes a frustrating look at the problem.
