It's hard to imagine so many missteps and botched statements hitting the GOP fan lately, so to speak. With the media catching on and calling these conservative cons out on their mistakes, we're now seeing how hollow the party politic is. Newt Gingrich, the GOP intellectual, couldn't have made a bigger historical mistake. He blew his credibility in one fell swoop criticizing President Obama for being a "citizen of the world," a known Reagan quote.
