Ed Schultz brought his "everyday man" persona to MSNBC, filling in for David Shuster, and kicking ass on his first show hosting stint. Drawing from what he has learned in nationwide listening sessions and on his radio show "Where America Comes to Talk," Schultz talked about kitchen table issues like health care premiums.
In fact, his first topic sounded just like a conversation I had with my wife about our rate increase. It was like having Ed right there waving his own premium notice in the air with ours. He was like a neighbor, bringing a fresh down home approach to cable news, speaking our language.
