Governor Sarah Palin is guilty of abuse of power in office. It's pretty simple. You would have never guessed that, if you only heard the McCain campaign response to the investigations final conclusions. She apparently "act lawful," a victim of a "council that overreached." It's another perfect example of making your own reality, rabbit hole politics and through the looking glass logic.
When they blame the Obama campaign for a "partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters," even though the investigation started long before Palin was a twinkle in John McCain's campaign eyes, you can't help but feel these guys are nothing but a band of lying thugs.
If Republicans want another four years of the same denial of reality and responsibility, then the following comments will be a rallying cry as reported from CNN:
Sarah Palin denied Saturday that she had abused her power as Alaska's governor, a conclusion reached by a state investigator in a report released the day before.

"If you read the report, you will see that there was nothing unlawful or unethical about replacing a cabinet member," Palin said. "You got to read the report."
Palin violated state ethics law by trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from the state police, a state investigator's report for the bipartisan Legislative Council concluded Friday.
The investigator's report states Palin's efforts to get Wooten fired broke a state ethics law that bars public officials from pursuing personal interest through official action.
AND IT'S DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WE GO.....
Any abuse of power, they said, was on the part of the Legislative Council members, not the Palins. " Sen. French and Sen. Green may have abused their government power by using public money to pursue a personal vendetta against the governor...Put bluntly, Branchflower completely misapplied the Ethics Act and has instead sought to create a headline to smear the governor," the lawyers wrote.
