The Bush Administration Respect for Law Summed Up By AG Mukasey

Remember this statement when you talk about the Bush administration from here on in.

NY Times-Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey rejected the idea of bringing criminal charges against former Justice Department employees who improperly used political litmus tests in hiring decisions. “Where there is enough evidence to charge someone with a crime, we vigorously prosecute,” he said.

“But not every wrong, or even every violation of the law, is a crime.”

A violation of the law in not a crime? Ooops, it’s down the rabbit hole again.
