Remember when President Bush promised to fire anyone involved in releasing Valarie Plames name to the press? Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said this on a recent television interview:
“I think the president should have stood by his word and that meant Karl should have left. We didn't live up to that. When it became known that his top adviser had been involved, then the bar was moved. I was part of this propaganda campaign, absolutely."
Think they moved the bar when it came to balancing the budget and cutting government spending? Can you say, “drunken sailors?”
