Yellin at the top of Her voice, Media is to Blame

It's noteworthing to point out that in Scott McClellan’s new book "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," McClellan passed some of the blame off onto the well deserving media. Remember the numerous mea culpa? Congressional correspondent MSNBC Jessica Yellin, while on Anderson Cooper 360, admitted there had been network pressure to put a positive spin on the Bush administration on the run up to war.

This dramatic admission will get little play, and frankly, fade quickly from the discussion. The media framing and positioning in the run up to a war of choice, was handled like any other public event, an opportunity to shape public opinion based on the social mood at the time. The ultimate ad campaign, with deadly consequences.
