Doh! Many also have nationwide vouchers, but again, every school must meet the standards and answer to the tests.

Give me proof Common Core is dumbing down students please? I have two in school now, they're doing great...for now. Walker might end that.

Common Core isn't a curriculum, so every district has designed their own course work. If it isn't working near you, maybe there are more people like you influencing their outcomes. You need a new school board. My kids aren't in the "real world" yet, they children. But when they finally do meet people like you they'll know what to do.

Yea, I'm not giving my fair share anymore, freeloading off the 60 or so years of labor contributing to my Social Security. I've seen the standard of living go down thanks to folks like you who don't have a clue. 60 years is enough time to see a few changes. Yea, tell me how the real world works you condescending jerk.

All your assumptions about me have been wrong so far. We can all assume everything else you've written is more of the same. I would bet almost anything that you couldn't pass one unless it was held to your common core standards of dumbing everybody down to the same level.

Give us an example of how common core is helping kids. What practical real world skills has this provided to your children?

if you knew anything about history, I wouldn't have to keep coming on here to explain to you how the real world works. So you are already admitting that you are a commie marxist with no sense of patriotism. That seems incredibly unfair as you should contribute your fair share and stop freeloading off of the system that has afforded you the standard of living that you enjoy. Europe has national standar...No, I never said that. Europe has national standards and tests, not the U.S.

Common Core is not a curriculum, and tests are geared to Core standards, but are not nationalized in any way. Civics tests are flag waving nationalistic tea party ways to see who's patriotic or not. All show, no substance.

If you knew anything about history or social studies in schools NOW, kids are learning this stuff in greater detail than ever before. So feel good lunacy of a civics test to graduate is pathetic right wing patriotism.Democurmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16336177394503335112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7183447461205976739.post-33947835060536813122015-06-01T10:21:48.788-05:002015-06-01T10:21:48.788-05:00So a national curriculum or tests are an ok part o...So a national curriculum or tests are an ok part of Common Core, but requiring a child to pass a standardized Civics test to graduate is wrong? What happens when Common Core develops a Civics class (assuming they haven't already)?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
