It's what you don't know about Guns that can kill you!!! And the Hitler Gun Myth.

There's irony in the words of gun owners who say gun control groups don't know what they're talking about. They're right, but for all the wrong reasons.

Beside gun loosening laws here and here, gun accessory manufacturers have found a way to sell machine guns legally. Here's how-step one:
Bump Fire: When you bump fire a semi-automatic rifle, your non-shooting hand pulls the rifle forward until the trigger hits your rigid trigger finger, thus firing the rifle. Then, recoil sends the rifle bouncing back and forth against your rigid trigger finger, causing it to keep shooting at an accelerated rate, simulating automatic fire.

Slide Fire Solutions introduced a replacement rifle stock called the SSAR-15 that, for $369, allows you to bump fire your AR-15-style rifle from your shoulder while still retaining accuracy and control. According to the Slide Fire website, the SSAR-15 lets a shooter “unleash 100 rounds, in 7 seconds.” A product review at a site called Guns America notes that the SSAR-15 “installs in one minute with no special skills.”
Here's a demonstration video of a perfectly legal AR-15 used to defend its owner from a government gun confiscation program, with the Slide Fire attachment. Again, it's what you don't know, and what they're not telling you, that will kill us all:

The Hitler Gun Myth. From the Drudge Report:

PropagandaProfessor: A gun registration program was already in effect in Germany; it was enacted in 1928, five years before Hitler’s ascendancy.  But that law did not “outlaw” guns, it just restricted their possession to individuals who were considered law-abiding citizens, and who had a reason to own one … the NAZIs didn’t seize control of their own country with gunpowder. They used a much more potent weapon: propaganda.

Hitler did enact a new gun law. But it was in 1938, not 1935 – well after the NAZIs already had the country in its iron grip. Furthermore, the new law in many ways LOOSENED gun restrictions. For example, it greatly expanded the numbers who were exempt, it lowered the legal age of possession from 20 to 18, and it completely lifted restriction on all guns except handguns, as well as on ammunition.

Given all of this, it’s pretty hard to make a case that “gun control” played a significant role in NAZI conquest. In fact, one might well say that when gun addicts brandish Hitler as a weapon, they are unwittingly arguing against their own cause.

    -Drama queen much?
Ted Kennedy's car killed more people than my rifle ever did, or is ever likely to.
