Walker willing to work on mining bill, his way only.

Scott Walker proves once again that he will not compromise. He will also never give up exactly what big business interests demand of him. Like trashing the state with lax mining laws.

Not only does Walker tell the entire world how horrible Wisconsin is for mining interests, in the video clip below, but he's willing to give up creating jobs by continuing his no compromise agenda.

Conservative voters love a bully, and Walker must keep that image up, or lose to Chris Christy.

  1. It really isnt any wonder why you cant find work in radio. Im just some average guy who doesnt give a shit about this religion you fucktards call politics. What I, and the rest of WI, care about is jobs. Im not a democrat nor a republican im the guy who votes for the right person regardless of their political affiliation.

How is the general public supposed to know anything that goes on in Madison if people like you, the supposed voice of our state, does nothing but push their agendas and cannot report news worthy items without biased? If your radio show was anything like the garbage i have seen on your blog then it is a good thing you are off the air, seriously.. Try reporting without all the bullshit condescension, assumptions and labels, just report the facts so people can make an informed decision. This is what people really want, they want the fuckin truth not some asshats political rants thats based on half truths.

80 percent of the people i know couldnt give a rats ass about political parties because we can see that none have our interests at heart and that both parties seemed hell bent on fighting each other instead of getting the job done.

I know this is your blog and you can say what you want to but you posted it to a news site. This is by no means news, it is half truths based on your bullshit agenda.

  2. Respectfully, Mr. Anonymous, what I've observed on Wisconsin Eye regarding the mining bill is that the Walker administration will never create jobs with this mining bill. There are people who have to be at the table and a process that has to be followed. People (specifically the tribes and the residents of the area) have been purposefully cut out of hearings and disrespected. The process of creating legislation has been given over to the company seeking the mining permit and environmental concerns have been thrown out the window, prompting warnings from the federal government and members of the Great Lakes treaty group (other states and Canadian provinces). After all the "my way or the highway" talk from Walker and Gogebic Taconite, even if he gets the mining bill passed it will end up in court as angry tribes, the Army Corps of Engineers or even other states and provinces kill the agreement dead. There will be no jobs if Walker gets his bill because he's created too many enemies along the way. Running a state government is not like running a business. If you flaunt the rules and anger the neighbors, you will lose in the end. The quickest way to jobs is to get everyone at the table and follow the rules. If GT had followed the current process for obtaining a mining permit, they would be only a year away from breaking ground on the mine. By trying to change everything only to their own advantage, this mine will never be built.

  3. By deleting my posts you have shown me you lack the general understanding of a free society and i will not engage you any further, here. Furthermore every time you post your half truth garbage on the news site you post to i will be forced to inform people. This will be my last post on your blog.

There are several things i am very good at, finding and compiling data from many sources and processing that data in an objective manner. You will never find the truth otherwise, its always their side your side and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

People want jobs and progress always comes at a price, this is the history of our entire world. I feel that not only the mining company but Walker and his people have bent over backwards to meet the needs of the community, state and environment and this was another bogus union punishment just as the recall election is. Who is suffering? EVERYONE! I read through the bill, as much as i could, and gathered info from many sites and all of this info leads me to believe that i am correct.

You are correct in saying he has made some enemy's but he has done exactly what he was elected to do and now WE suffer not HE. All because the tax payers wanted some of their power back from an organization who was abusive to say the least. All this proves, to me, that the majority of the democratic leadership are out for revenge. Remember it was their leadership that lead to the poor state of our economy under Doyle, if you want to blame anyone for a lack of money or jobs blame him.

If no jobs come from this then place the blame on the people who are standing in the way, the union and the democratic leadership. Even after making last minute changes they still said no. Walkers group will try again to pass another version, if it fails, and it will, then we will see what the democratic leadership is all about. The democratic leadership cant allow any big wins before the recall elections and they are obviously willing to sacrifice more jobs and waste more money just to stand in his way at every turn. They were in power a long time and wont surrender any of it.

And please dont use the environment as a crutch, if the environment was ever an issue we wouldnt be flying or driving vehicles that pollute every aspect of our lives from the air we breath to the food we eat and even the water we drink. Michigan will be more than happy to take on another mining operation, ive been to their mining towns, some long closed, as i have family in the UP and the environmental damage was minimal and that is the best anyone can hope for.

As far as me using the label's, when i use them i mean just the leadership as they obviously do not reflect the ideals of the general population.

Now i will leave this place but before i go let me offer some advice. Please stop with the agendizing and choosing sides or you will continue to be just another intellectually homeless armchair politician. Facts should be the only goal of anyone who speaks to the public.
